Halfway home, I paused in front of one of the many Italian restaurants along Mulberry Street and peeked in the window out of sheer curiosity. And then I realized my hands were numb. And so was my nose. I shivered. I licked my ice cream cone. And thought. What kind of idiot eats ice cream by herself in 20 degree weather? Oh well. The ice cream – taro on the bottom and almond cookie on top, was delicious.
